These are Baguettes. It means a diamond, or a loaf of bread.
I just got home from the Baguettes winter getaway. We had a great time, and filled the house with our stuff, and laughter. Nan brought a chenille baby quilt she made, to show us. And her stitched picture of her nephew and baby, which is incredible.
Babe made a beautiful felt pillow, and Sarah made 3 of her own.
Nan pieced squares and triangles. Deb made a huge pile of baby quilts.
Julie made a journal cover, as did I. I made 3 rooster quilt tops, painted a collage, and made little folders. So did Julie, and Babe.
We took about 2 tons of stuff to do, ate a lot of chocolate, read 2 stories, and laughed.

This is Irene Gates, and her husband, Dan. She is a wonderful collage artist, and painted these expressive women. They are very nice people from Douglas, Michigan. Dan is involved in the process of finishing her work. We are in a show together at Stone Arch, in Saline. And we spent a fun afternoon and evening yesterday.

The FiberArtists met last night at 212. We had a demo on how to make a crazy quilt block. Becky, Brooks, and Gaines show off the ones they made.
What's Inside Me, an Art Salad Challenge. This is me, and popping from my brain, are flowers, frogs, a turtle, snake, my dog, cats, a crow, and lots of little rats. The rats are the ideas that get away before I have a chance to make them. Up close, you can my well developed noodles. My dad always told me to use my noodle, so I have a lot of them, and they stick out. And whispering fish are telling me secrets at my ears.

Numbers 14 and 15, are 2 more cups of coffee. See the red one? It has Christy's donut too. (Christy made donuts for CakeEaters Friday.)
A little basket block, this is the Art Salad project this Monday. We will also have 2 drawing exercises, fun ones! Number 13.
Beautiful windows at Stone Arch Arts and Events.
The arch, for which Stone Arch Arts and Events is named? I hung my show yesterday. This is a few pictures of it.
