The first look at a lily pad quilt. It also is a koi quilt, 2 for 1. When it's quilted, it will look a lot better I hope. Number 158.

The latest fish quilt, quilted. Can you see any detail in the closeup?

I get my ideas from everything. The picture of a girl with glasses, is from Girl with a Pearl Earring, by Vermeer(?), and a painting I saw in a magazine, which reminded me of that one. Today I thought of making a flamingo, an underwater skull, with seaweed in the eye, a lily pad pond with koi, a bird silhouette against the setting sun, two fish underwater looking at a worm on a line, cactus on cliffs, and several other things. Don't know if I'll do any of them yet. Except the lily pads, and the skull. Definitely the lily pads. If I have the right deep greens. I need more time to play.

This is a new fish, made up north yesterday. We mowed and mowed and mowed. When we were done, I fished. You can see the pins on it, the colored spots. I have some pieces of sparkly netting pinned on. Number 157. Can you see the crab? That's me, Cancer the crab. My birthday is Thursday! I'm a water sign, that may explain why I walk like I have my sea legs.

Another fish! number 155. This is fresh from the sewing room today. It's 20" by 24". I was thinking of eating locally, being a locavore, while I made it.

I made a fish today. I am hoping to be a featured artist in Macs' Seafood Shack, so I figured I'd have to display some fish quilts. This is my first one. It's 20" by 24". number 154.

Hot off the sewing machine! Just finished, this one is spoken for already.

A bag for a knitter, number 153. On the front is a resist painting, stitched very closely by hand. It's a pocket for a pattern book. The bag has a flat bottom, so it will stand when full of yarn.

On the back are pockets for stitch holders, and row markers.

Inside there are needle pockets, and a scissors pocket, and one for keys.

Three more mosaics grouted today. You saw these when I made them. I used blue grout on the aqua squares, off white on the others.

Four more mosaics grouted today. Cool, damp weather is good for grouting. I used brown grout on these. You saw them before grouting.

A new bird, made today. I'll use dark grout on it.

Three pieces grouted today. Already counted.

These are the first pictures of us in Albuquerque. We were at San Felipe De Neri church, founded in 1706. Beautiful church, in a lovely plaza in Old Town.

Remember this? I showed you Saturday, when I made it. Now it's grouted, in brown. I like the dark grout.

A Mexican Stool Pigeon, just finished. I am showing you all the legs, so you can see the snakes. And one leg has donuts, in case you get hungry while seated. Number 151.
