This is the Corvette museum, in Ohio. I missed a lot of unusual sights on this trip, since I kept putting the camera away. The last day, we were focused on getting home, and out of the car. So we drove past many things too quickly to document them. Texas has many beautiful hilly areas, and a lot of flat on the west side. Kentucky is lovely. We were in Loretta Lynns hometown overnight. We saw the Loretta Lynn restaurant, flea market, and trucking company, among other businesses. Our hotel manager rolled her own smokes in between checking people in. And our waitress there had 2 black eyes. Rick supposed she got them fighting off mountain men, since a few were in the dining room.

Here you see Jesus, just rising from the water, or sinking into it. We were quite surprised to see him a little ways north of Cincinnati.

I know now, the T stands for Tennesee. Tennesee is lovely. We drove a long way through Arkansas. It is a lot like west Texas. But there seems to be more poverty. The scenery is not compelling.

An amusing name for a Kentucky park.

I think there are 323 things I made this year, at least. The beige knitting you saw last week, was finished into a pair of slippers for Karen. That, and the 2 Guadelupe quilts I did on this trip, make 323.

I did a little more on the felt skulls. Today we will spend the day walking around the plaza in Old Town. There are dozens of cute shops I want to see. And we'll do some geocaching while learning about all the haunted places. Fits in with the skulls, huh?

This is a Day of the Dead picture by the school kids of San Felipe de Neri school. It was a nice surprise to find it today, in my daughters' classroom. We went to Old Town in Albuquerque, and saw the plaza, and church gift shop. I found some very cool things too.

I sewed the skulls on a pink background. Nobody could think they look morbid on bright pink. Today we are going to see the church built with money given by Billy the Kid to Sister Blandina.

We met Poki, Karen's dog. He is adorable, and very soft.

We got here an hour ago. So glad to arrive. I worked on felt skulls in the car. I'll show you tomorrow.

We passed here today. It rained cats and dogs all morning, was about 36 this . a.m. , but went up to 50. Here in Vinita, Oklahoma it's in the 30's tonight.

This is what I knitted in the car and hotel last night. I'll lay off knitting today, my thumb is very sore. I spent the night in Dayton, Ohio. We left early, to be ahead of the storm. The high here today will be 50*, so not much chance of ice. Heading for St. Louis.

Today I quilted a little bit, and embroidered a bit, but have not completed anything to post yet.

This is the quilt for baby Colton. I didn't make it, but I quilted it.

Three more circles to dangle. I have to put stiffener in between the layers, and they will be ready to hang. I also quilted a baby quilt, and bound it today. Maybe I'll get a picture tomorrow. Numbers 315, 316 and 317.

Santa has a new reindeer this year, with glowing eyes. His name is Buddy, and he uses the antlers like wings.

A scarf for my grandson, done last night. Number 314.

A new sunflower on ivory. This is number 313, hope to grout it tomorrow. It's small, about 8"by10".

The pink face, grouted. This is 10" by 12".

Circles on pink, just finished. The applique was done months ago, but the banner was assembled today. Number 312. Since it was a lot of work to sew it together, I think it needs to be counted as a finished piece.

You have seen the large skulls before, but the dangles are new. I will count them as one, 310.

This is number 309, Our Lady of Guadalupe. I do have a fascination with this image, as I'm sure you've noticed. Maybe it's the flames, maybe it's the flying.

Number 308, this is the back for the red and blue skull disc. It will get dangles before it's done.

Sneak Peek!!! Happy little skulls. At my show in January, these will dangle from the ceiling and spin. 300 and 301.

This turquoise bracelet is on memory wire. It's the 7th one, I think. And is number 299. I also have made a few felt skulls, but you have to wait until they're done.

What I did this weekend follows.

This tree is only about 3 to 4 feet tall. I put on the clusters of berries and pinecones, and the white sparkly plants.

Connie decorated her tree. I put on the garland.
