Mosaic class

 This is Jan's bird mosaic. She made it in class at 212 Arts on Monday. It's about 8" square. Obviously, she has an eye for mosaics.

This is my rooster. I have to do something while they work. It started as a fish, but grew feathers

Here it is, number 291. It's about 8"square.

I grouted the poinsettia mosaic, but have problems with my camera interface. I don't know if it's the camera, or the computer. I'll try tomorrow. The grout is green. Number 291.

You saw this before he had a background. I'll count it and the poinsettia when they are grouted.

Here is the first glimpse of a new Rooster mosaic. This will be a class in the next brochure at 212.

You have seen this. My daughter, Jen, made it a few months ago. I just grouted it. I hope I get to keep it.

Finished. You may notice, I added a few beads in the gaps.

This is number 212, I think it's my lucky number. A mirror for the next art fair, Harvest of the Arts, Sept. 26. I will show you after it's grouted.

This is another one of those days. I went downstairs to get gel medium, and made a rooster while I was there. This is why I am still disorganized. It makes me very productive, but a bunch of new stuff to finish takes a lot of time. Making the picture is the fun part. Grouting and putting on hangers is work. I'm really into fun.

Number 202. We'll see if I get the yellow chicks, bluebird, trivet and rooster grouted before Summerfest.

A mirror mosaic. This will not be grouted. The glue dries clear, and the black frame shows between. It will be a class at TwoTwelve Arts. Number 201.

I keep trying to get ready for the classes I'm teaching at QU this Sunday. But things get in my way. I went downstairs to get paint. First I put hangers on about 12 mosaics. Then I put on price tags. Then I went down to get paints, but made these 2 new mosaics because I walked past the workbench. I have made lists, and started piles for the classes, and for my Summerfest booth. Now my feet hurt, and my back, and I still am not packed. I remembered to get the paint this time. Now I have to go up and get my samples. Numbers 198,199.

The glue is still wet on this one, number 190. Mom bird feeds baby bird a worm. I'm thinking sand color grout.

Three more mosaics grouted today. You saw these when I made them. I used blue grout on the aqua squares, off white on the others.

Four more mosaics grouted today. Cool, damp weather is good for grouting. I used brown grout on these. You saw them before grouting.

A new bird, made today. I'll use dark grout on it.

Three pieces grouted today. Already counted.
